Suspects Mystery Mansion is a free-to-play multiplayer deduction game that uses Zooba IP, setting their characters in a mysterious mansion to solve a murder.
I joined the Suspects Mystery Mansion team as a UX Designer responsible for improving the gameplay experience and designing all social and metagame features.
The game was fully developed in five months, which I joined starting from the second month. After the Global launch, I led the UX for monetization and social features.
My responsibilities
- Benchmarking the main references for the upcoming features;
- Planning and conducting workshops within the team to plan new features and remove design or product barriers;
- Prototyping screens and interactions using Figma and Principle;
- Designing the whole Metagame loop and its main features and flows such as Battle Pass and Match Results Screen;
- Designing and improving social features such as friends list, voice chat, referral program, game lobby, and more;
- Planning and conducting playtest sessions with players;
- Tune and improve some UX aspects of the gameplay for our players such as clarifying in-game roles, understanding their goals, and having a better first-time user experience (FTUE);
- Following the soft launch reception, observing FTUE from streamers and collecting feedback from users in our official Discord Channel.
The game had a soft launch in Brazil and other Latin countries in March 2021. The Global Launch was on April 21st, 2021, and until that date had almost 10 million downloads worldwide.
